Batur Baslar was born in Ankara, Turkey in 1967. After obtaining his music degree from the State Conservatoire of the same city in 1990 he moved to the UK where he studied Fine Arts Mixed Media at the University of Westminster in London, during  which he concentrated mainly on two dimensional media: photography, painting and printmaking in particular.

After receiving his BA (hons) in 1997 he moved to Spain. From 2013 onwards he has concentrated most of his art work on watercolour painting and since than he had various solo exhibitions in Spain and participated in numerous national and international exhibitions in countries including Russia, France, Poland, Singapore, Malasia, Indonesia, Colombia, Ukraine, Japan, Slovenia, Turkey, Australia, Chile, Ireland and Italy obtainiing various awards in numerous occasions.
