Kathleen is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society, the Transparent Watercolor Society, American Women Artists, the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society and is a member of the Watercolor USA Honor Society, the International Guild of Realism and an invited member of the Allied Artists of Amercia.

Kathleen is an award winning artist, teacher and workshop instructor and has been painting in watercolor for more than twenty eight years. Her realistic and sensitive portrayal of everyday life has won her many awards around the country. The artist participated in the Fabriano Prize. Her painting "Tears For Ukraine" won fourth place. The painting was also an Arc Salon winner in 2023. In 2022 The artist's work work the Bronze Medal in the American Watercolor Society International Exhibition. In 2021 Watercolor Artist magazine featured her painting in their yearly, Best of Watercolor article. Kathleen's work won the First Place purchase award from the National Watercolor Society in 2021 and 2019. Her painting “Life is Fragile” was a finalist in the ARC Salon 15th International Exhibition.  Her painting “Life Is Planning Your Next Move” is in the American Watercolor Society travel show 2021-2022.  Her painting “Meat and Potatoes Man” won First place in the portrait category of the international group Global Association of Watercolor Artists. The painting “Sarah” won Best of Show in the Pittsburg Watercolor Society’s national show in 2018. “Queen of Hearts” won First place in the Watercolor USA show at the Springfield Museum in the spring of 2018.

Kathleen's work was recently featured in an article about self portraiture in Watercolor Artisit magazine,2023. She teaches in person workshops around the United States and also does on-line instruction.
