Originally from Spain, Lana Privitera graduated in 1983 from the Fine Arts School of Zaragoza, where she majored in Fashion Design and Art History. After working in Advertising for a few years, she moved to the USA in the early 1990s.

After a long hiatus, Mrs. Privitera returned to painting and art competitions in 2014 and has since then gained recognition for her colorful and very detailed watercolors of Still Lifes.

Since she started focusing on painting exclusively with watercolors, her work has been featured in multiple International publications and has received over 200 awards in Local, National and International competitions. In recent years, her watercolors have also participated in Exhibits and Invitationals in Dubai, Greece, Spain, Uruguay, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Canada and Russia.

Mrs. Privitera has been an art instructor for over 15 years and offers watercolor workshops and Demos in the USA and abroad, as well as online.

Mrs. Privitera is currently a Signature Member of the National Watercolor Society, the North East Watercolor Society and the Philadelphia Watercolor Society, among others.

She lives in the Hudson Valley area, North of NYC, USA.
