Country: Hungary - Role: Artist

I studied architecture and interior design. I was always passionate about drawing, painting and hand-made art and tried various techniques (torch fire enamel, glass art, ceramics, shibori, diy wood projects..etc.).

My watercolor journey started in 2018, when I discovered the Zen Tales series illustrated by Jon J. Muth. His illustrations inspired me to learn more about watercolor paintings. A year later I attended a watercolor course at the watercolor Academy organised by IWS Hungary.

I love the transparency created by the different layers of watercolor washes, like the transparency of glass. The soft color shapes of wet on wet technique just like in shibori and the textures achived by water, salt and other media, the same I love in torch fire enamel and ceramics. I found something special in that painting technique. It incorporates all that delights me and challenges me to learn the wide variety of brush strokes and texturing that this amazing technique provides.

I’m still new to watercolor, but I feel I found a technique that gives me joy every day without the feeling I miss out something else. The more I learn about aquarelle, the more excited I become to improve in my watercolor skills.
