Nickname:
Country: Finland - Role: Artist

I have been able to travel the journey of making art for more than 20 years, starting gradually and as the journey continues, expanding the courage to go forward.
I am happy that I get to make visual art and create beauty in the world with my hands.

I have studied at the Pirkkala Art School, basic and advanced studies and art school in the USA, and have completed visual art studies at the University of Lapland and Tampere Summer University.

Nature is a great source of inspiration for me, from which I can constantly draw. I'm happy when I get to enjoy it every day. I also need a lot of peace and quiet for the process of creating art.

Nature-themed paintings and graphic works get inspiration from their own garden and the surrounding nature, as well as topics that touch their own lives at the time of creation. Often, the things I deal with are transferred to the canvas in some form, even if only as a reflection. I watch deer, foxes, birds and many farm animals from the window.

I am also fascinated by nature around the world, especially animals. Our task is also to take care of the welfare of the animals, and I want to do my part in that.

Different techniques are fascinating in image making, because it gives the opportunity to create something new and the finished work is always unique. As a technique, graphics is challenging and versatile, it has become an important part of image making because it gives unlimited possibilities to realize even difficult images. I personally want to make art that sets in motion thoughts that may open up new perspectives on my own life and the lives of people close to me. It can also open up a broader understanding of the purpose of being. Art has a comprehensive and positive effect on physical health and mental well-being. I think art belongs to everyone, as art has been shown to have an empowering effect.
