Jeremiah Patterson teaches painting and drawing as Professor of Foundations at the Hartford Art School, University of Hartford in West Hartford CT. His watercolors have been exhibited internationally in several important exhibitions including The Biennial International Prize “Marche d’Acqua” Fabriano Watercolor 2020/21, the 2023 Watercolor International 6 Biennial at the EMS Gallery in Thessaloniki Greece and the 2020/21, 2022 and 2023 FabrianoinAquarello Exhibitions. His work has also been exhibited widely throughout the United States, including six one-person shows at the Sherry French Gallery in New York City, three important biennial survey exhibitions of Contemporary Representational Art; Representing Representation V & VI both at the Arnot Art Museum in Elmira NY, and Contemporary American Realism at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art in Fort Wayne IN, and over 100 group exhibitions including shows at the Arkansas Art Center Museum, Albright-Knox Art Museum, the Flint Museum of Art, The Connecticut River Museum, the Wisteriahurst Museum, the Ridderhof-Martin Museum, Westfield State College, Anna-Maria College, Elms College, Collin County Community College, M.A. Doran Gallery, Klaudia Marr Gallery, Elm Tree Gallery, and William Baczek Fine Arts. His work can be found in over 100 private and corporate collections including Holy Family Church in South Deerfield MA, The Our Lady of Wisdom Chapel at the Newman Catholic Center, UMASS, Amherst, Saint Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee MA, Art Overseas, Art & Interiors, Inc., Canson, Inc., Galman-Lepow Associates, Inc, and Norfolk Southern Co. Articles about his watercolors have been printed in the Spring 1997 & 2003 issues of WATERCOLOR Magazine and the Feb/Mar 2014 issue of PleinAir Magazine, and can also be seen online on American Watercolor, Realism Today, CanvasRebel, MutualArt and Do You Speak Watercolor.
