She was born in Sant Feliu de Codines, Barcelona, 1955. She has been the founder and teacher since 1981 of the Manolo Hugué Art Workshop in Caldes de Montbui. He later started in the world of watercolor with Martínez Lozano. He has a permanent work at the Museu de l’Aquarel·la in Llançà and belongs to the Agrupació d’Aquarel·listes de Catalunya. AAC
During all these years he has alternated his artistic career with teaching, researching and specializing in work on paper.
He has excelled in the world of this technique by doing personal research with textures and collages. He regularly conducts watercolor and gyotaku workshops at various workshops and institutions. In 2015 he was part of the organizing team of the 18th International Symposium of the ECWS in Llançà (Agrupació d’Aquarel·listes de Catalunya) where he taught gyotaku workshops to artists from all over Europe.
He has participated and represented in Catalonia in the National Symposia of Aranjuez, Bilbao, Córdoba, Granada, Hondarribia, Madrid, Montblanc, Llançà, Palma de Mallorca, Vitoria and the Internationals of Arezzo, (Italy) Antwerp and Brussels (Belgium) Genoa and Sauveterre du Gard, (France) Turku (Finland) and Loten (Norway). Krakow, (Poland) Haapsalu (Estonia) He has also exhibited in other watercolor exhibitions in Korea, Colombia, Bellagio, Fabriano, Florence and Macagno (Italy), Mexico, Miami, New York and Sweden.
