Cheryl Fausel – Artist – January 2022
 
Cheryl Fausel, a watercolorist, combines realism with abstraction. There is a pursuit of control with a heavy emphasis on design and composition in her paintings. “Color is important and is based on the values needed to develop the painting, At the same time, she feels a painting should tell a story, not immediately evident. An emotional reaction, as well as an interpretation of an idea is presented through design. She studied art and design at the Rochester Institute of Technology and completed her BS degree with the State University of New York. She has worked in the art field for over 20 years while residing in Stuttgart, Germany, where she lived for 25 years, later retiring part time to Switzerland and part time in the USA. She presently lives full time in the US. In addition to a large number of solo and group exhibitions, often winning an abundance of prizes and awards. She has taught watercolor for over 40 years.
 
Cheryl Fausel is a nationally and internationally known watercolor artist who resides in Cape Coral. Among her numerous accomplishments are Signature Status in: The American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, Southern Watercolor Society, Tri-State Watercolor Society and the Florida Watercolor Society, goals seldom attained by most artists. She is also a member of the National League of American Pen Women, National Association of Women Artists. In 2022, Cheryl Fausel was an exhibitor in the Fabriano International Exhibition.
 
She has had her work published in numerous publications. Such as: Best Of American Water Media Vol. II,  The Ebook: A Walk Into Abstracts Vol. II by Sue St. John, Splash 17 published July 2016, The Art Of  Watercolour December 2017,  Best Of American Water Media Vol. II. Her work can be seen in the Harbour View Gallery in Cape Coral, Florida. She presently teaches for the Fort Myers Art
