Chrysoula Argyros hails from the Greek island of Lemnos and has had a passion for painting since her schooling in Vereeniging. Chrysoula has been painting for many years, having her talent ignited under the instruction and guidance of Sheila Santilhano in her earlier years of painting. Chrysoula enjoys painting anything "OLD", with character, like old people, old buildings, old doors and windows. Chrysoula has love for travelling, enabling her to see may interesting places, while taking photos of her favourite subjects which she uses as reference for her paintings.
Chrysoula enjoys painting miniatures and is a founding member of the Miniature Art Society of South Africa. She also partipcates in many International Miniature exhibitions in the USA and UK. Chrysoula is honoured to be voted into MINIATURE ARTISTS OF AMERICA, the most presitgious accolade in Miniature art in America. She has been invited to be an Associate Member of the MINIATURE PAINTERS, SCULPTORS and GRAVERS SOCIETY in Washington DC. Chrysoula is a Signature Member of the HILLIARD SOCIETY of Miniatures in the UK and has been elected a Full Member of the presitgious ROYAL MINIATURE SOCIETY in the UK. Chrysoula has been elected an HONOURARY Life Member of the MINIATURE SOCIETY OF SOUTH AFRICA.
Having her work exhibited from Hong Kong to Tasmania, the United Kingdom to the United States, Chrysoula has been awarded with an array of local and international awards, including BEST IN SHOW, PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS, FIRST, SECOND, THIRD PLACE AWARDS, as well as Honourable Mention and Highly Commended Awards. In 2011, Chrysoula was recognised as included in the book "MODERN MASTERS OF MINIATURE ART IN AMERICA" and was included inthe 36th Edition of "WHO'S WHO IN ART" in the UK.
