For 10 years I am a freelance watercolor painter and lecturer. I was born and raised in Hainfeld / Palatinate in the parental winery in the midst of vines and our beautiful landscape on the Southern Wine Route.  Perhaps I was inspired not only by my elderly grandfather but also by this vineyard landscape..... Over 20 years ago I discovered watercolor and since then this passion has never left me.
Painting and being creative is one of the greatest and most wonderful mysteries of life for me. A state of happiness during the creative process, an outgrowing of oneself.
Anyone who has experienced this feeling becomes addicted to experiencing it again. This ability is once greater or lighter......and sometimes every effort is in vain. You have to get through these phases and keep striving to create your work with zeal and effort in such a way that it seems as if it came into being virtually by itself, without the artist's intervention.

Painting for me is an emotional process, which is not only about the representation or real reproduction of the subject, but also about the feelings that one experiences during the painting process. I believe that the atmosphere, the mood that I experience at that moment manifests itself in the painting and it becomes a "document" of my thoughts and my surroundings.

As a lecturer I work for Artistravel and the Art Academy Eigenart, until Corona also on a cruise ship around the world. A wonderful source of inspiration.
