I was born in Tallinn. I have moved to Finland in 1991. I have Estonian and Ingrian Finn roots in my lineage. Also art education I received in both places. In Finland I gratuated from Kankaanpää art shool as a painter. My creative theme has always been about multiculturalism, relations and nature. My presentation way is figurative, often realistic and narrative. I use soft colors and I love contrast.
For me it is important to find a harmonic also to difficult themes. So viewers can identify themselves with story of a painting and find consolation for example.
I have been drawing since I was old enough to hold the pen. Watercolor technique I found only few years ago. It happend in Italy, in a little town called Matera. I stayed at the artist residence and worked there one month. I took only a little suitcase with me. There was no space for acrylic or oilpainting colors and so by instict I grabbed for a little box of watercolor to put in my suitcase. In Matera I had only one way and this was to try watercolor painting seriously. I found that technique so addictive. I am still on that roud.
