Barbara Brigola is autodidact with the focus on drawing and watercolor.

She had private studies for painting and graphics with Nancy Spero and Leon Gollub (both Chicago/ USA) 

and Lucia Ricelli (Venezia/Vienna).

Since 1963:

Exhibitions and participations in Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, Serbia and Slowenia.

In her paintings or installations, the artsist dedicates herself mainly to social-political and humanistic topics with references to the history of times.

A look behind the beautiful, good and true surface is required. See again, don´t overlook it - make up your own mind. The artist wants to be touched by what affects her.

Since 1978:

Work with youngsters and adults in various workshops concerning art (painting and sketching), drama, communication etc. These groups were set up with participants from adult education centers, women shelters and asylum seekers homes. Durind this time she also organized and led cultural trips to the main hotspots and capitals of the European Union.
