Ingrid Alldritt

Nickname: Ingrid Art Studio
Country: Italy - Role: Artist

I was born and grew up on a tea estate in Kenya. Early schooling was always amongst friends of many different nationalities.  On completion of my university studies in Scotland in economics and business administration, I gained some initial experience in an architectural practice and then a graphics firm, attending painting lessons at night school at the Edinburgh Art College.  I then worked for over 32 years for the United Nations and when I retired I diverted my new life to art, learning and experimenting and teaching watercolour.

I have tought watercolour to international students in Rome in English, Italian, French and Spanish.  Given my UN background, I have made considerable contributions through my art to fundraising activities of charitable groups who assist those in need, especially women and children in developing countries.

My works include many different themes, but elements of Kenya, Scotland and Italy (my three countries) prevail! Some examples of recent exhibits and prizes are:

Selected for the ITALIAN TEAM at the International Convention of FABRIANOINACQUERELLO, in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2022 and 2023.
