Annie Foronda’s lifelong mission is to bring color and joy into the lives and homes everywhere and encourage people to be happy and appreciate life.

A Biology and Criminology graduate; she taught from preschool to elementary levels and has managed several schools as principal & directress since teaching is her passion.

Although she has another love, gardening. Being attached to nature conveys her admiration to God.

She began her art journey with Coloring Books since elementary which developed her skills in coloring using coloring pencils, brush pens, markers and pastel pans and pencils.

Back then, she thought her artwork is not completely of her own. She often do output with other artists’ work and coloring magazines.

And so she decided to learn drawing her own subjects to be able to completely feel her work was her own and be proud of it.

Annie joined Philippine Pastel Artists, Inc. in 2018 thru the encouragement of Celeste Lecaroz. The pastel medium let her produce works that express herself. The following year, she decided to work on another difficult medium —watercolor.

She attended workshops to be able to improve and be confident with this skill. She joined Philippine Guild of Watercolorists in 2019.

Her friends were very supportive of her passion & bought her artworks. She began joining exhibits.

Currently, she is one of the Board of Trustees of PGW for the year 2023-2024.

She is trying to explore other mediums like gouache, oil pants and acrylics. She now practices and studies floral, landscapes, portraits, figure painting, still life, seascapes and plein air.

Art is a vast subject. As an artist it is unending learning and Eurekas. Art helped her in confronting difficult times, it is her companion when in solitude. Painting helps her confront adve
