Maria Liachovitskaya (b. 1995) is an artist from Lithuania, of Russian origin, currently based in Paraguay.

    Having taken courses in Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named by Ilya Repin in Saint-Petersburg and afterwards studying in Russian academy of arts In Florence, Italy, she feels like a citizen of the world. From an early age engaged in arts, Maria chooses oil painting and watercolours as her main techniques.

   After having experience of living and working in 6 different countries (Lithuania, Russia, Italy, Netherlands, Denmark, Mexico) she decided to take a new challenge and explore Paraguay. After living here for more than 2 years, she considers Paraguay as her second home, especially Areguá where she has her tiny studio where all the magic happens.

   At present more than 80 of her paintings are displayed in a private collections in Russia, Lithuania, Netherlands, France, Italy, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Mexico, Switzerland, Paraguay, UK, Czech Republic and USA.
