Watercolor is my passion, nature is my inspiration. I like the transparency of watercolor, how the pigments flow with the water and use those properties in my works. Suggestion, atmosphere but how I look at it are important to include the viewer in my work.

I give courses in my atelier in Zwiggelte to a group very enthousiastic people who love to play with water and colors. 

Iam a member of the International Watercolor Society (IWS) Holland.

The last sundance, Fairytale scenes when zooming in on the hedgerow, the flies, the seeds, the low sun, the haze around the poppies give a dimension that is worth capturing on paper.

Also close to home in the countrysisde where I live, the garden has enough subjects to use watercolor for the little moments you see and enjoy during the day.

Vlieland is an island in the North of the Netherlands, an island where I have been coming for years and so get a lot of inspiration from, the peace, space and sound of the waves provide wonderful ideas for watercolors.

Atmosphere late in the afternoon, the low sun gives a watercolor I love.
