About me
Zara Janibekyan is a contemporary painter whose work bridges tradition and innovation, blending classical techniques with modern themes. Born in Yerevan, Armenia, she developed an early fascination with color, form, and storytelling through images. Being a Pediatrician and working as a Public Health Manager at the Jinishian Memorial Foundation she pursued formal 4 years training at Grant Art Studio in Yerevan where she studied painting, art history, and experimental media.
Zara was born in artistic family, where her father and grandfather were very famous actors in Soviet Union, but Medicine and Art were always her priorities. Studding at the Yerevan State Medical University she always dreamed to study art. However, in Soviet Period it was hard to get the second education and combine both specialties. Only in 2021 she was able to study at Grant Art Studio in Yerevan and receive classical art education.
Over the years, Zara has cultivated a distinctive style characterized by bold color palettes, classical expression, figurative realism, symbolic motifs. Her work often explores themes such as urban and village life, nature, landscapes, inviting viewers to reflect on the current life.
