About me
Hi! My name is Barbara Vaccari.
Born in Genoa, my artistic journey began in childhood, drawing alongside my maternal grandfather—an experience that deeply shaped my sensitivity toward the interpretative arts. Today, as an artist, wife and mother of two grown sons, I create works that reflect a strong commitment to environmental sustainability, often using recycled materials as part of my creative process.
Self-taught, I have refined my practice through continuous learning and by attending courses with renowned Italian and international artists. Curiosity and experimentation are at the core of my research.
In recent years, I discovered abstract watercolor—and it was love at first drop of water on paper. Watercolor has become my primary language: fluid, intuitive, and deeply connected to emotion. I am fascinated by the dialogue between water, pigment, and time, and I continually experiment with new color palettes and mixed media, allowing the process itself to guide me and reveal unexpected results.
Through solo and group exhibitions, workshops, and online content, I share my artistic vision and promote art as a therapeutic practice and a powerful tool for personal growth, inviting others to explore and trust their own creative flow.
