About me
I have always painted for passion and I am self-taught.
In the past I have used various expressive mediums: tempera, watercolor pastels, mixed techniques, oil, acrylic, pencil, digital painting
Since 2015 I have been using only the acqArello (with the A).
That A stands for water which is more than a solvent, it is the engine of color, the spark that starts the magic.
Nature is always my first inspiration.
Then I let water and color show me the ways to follow.
I choose the one that represents the mood and emotion of the moment.
It is always a discovery, an adventure, a journey.
For me, watercolor is the synthesis of painting, the point of arrival that removes all frills, which simplifies the act of painting with single brushstrokes.
I have not yet arrived at the synthesis I am looking for, to minimize the visible form to convey only an emotion or a sensation.
But I keep studying ...
