Hello,
My name is Mojca Žerjal, I live in Slovenia.
I am a designer and commercialist by profession.
I have been drawing since childhood. I studied drawing with prof. Testen at the High School of Design and Photography in Ljubljana. I am currently studying at Arthouse College of Drawing and Painting in Ljubljana.
I am a member of the Kras Cultural Association, with which I participate in group exhibitions, I participate in ex-tempore events and watercolor festival Castra – IWS Slovenia. I am creative, I like to draw, paint and photograph, I read a lot, try new recipes in the kitchen, make wooden houses from scrap wood and book indexes.
I paint in various techniques, oil, acrylic and pastel, but my great love is watercolor. I prefer to paint children and landscapes, as well as vedutes, portraits and stillifes.
The watercolor technique is magical itself and to me the most exciting of all techniques. Painting with watercolors allows very gentle and fluid transitions between colour. I enjoy the special effects made by water, they seem absolutely fabulous. When I paint, I break away from reality and I loose a frack of time.
