Noreen Myers – Artist Statement and CV
Artist Statement:
As an artist, I explore the interplay of light and color to evoke emotion and narrative within my work. My journey into the world of art began through self-guided exploration, allowing me to develop a unique perspective and style. In 2020, my decision to engage in formal online art studies marked a pivotal moment, as it expanded my technical skills and introduced me to a wider community of artists and mentors. I am profoundly influenced by master artists whose works in watercolor, pastel, and other media inspire my creations. I embrace learning as a lifelong journey, and my art continues to evolve as I immerse myself in new techniques and subjects.
Education and Training:
- 2019 - Virtual Artist online courses, which laid the foundational skills in various artistic disciplines.
- 2020 - Enrolled in the Evolve program, focusing on the fundamentals of oil painting techniques. This experience deepened my understanding of color theory and composition.
- 2021 - Participated in the Rod Moore Acrylic Landscape Painting program
