About me
My name is Maria Ostapenko. I am a watercolor artist, a member of the International Watercolor Society (IWS Global) and the Union of Watercolorists of Russia.
My art is about light, color, and inner freedom. I work with watercolor as with a living material, allowing it to flow, breathe, make mistakes, and find unexpected solutions. In my works, I explore the beauty of everyday life, the path from fear to joy, and feminine strength expressed through softness and acceptance.
Since 2019, I have conducted more than 1200 free online live sessions, with hundreds of people joining daily. I create art openly, voicing the process of searching, doubt, and discovery. I show that creativity is accessible to everyone and does not require perfection.
For me, participating in an international exhibition is a continuation of my journey, a dialogue with the viewer, and an opportunity to share the light that I find and create through watercolor.
