About me
I create mainly watercolor landscapes in wich the viewer often sees an emotion or purpose.
My paintings are abstract with some figurative elements in it, my palette is limited, I often only use 2 or 3 colours. I love watercolor because it's such a free medium, the free running of the paint makes the paintings surprisingly clear.
I trie to let the paint do the work by letting it run free, it gives my work a nice, atmospheric appearance. I am inspired by the beauty of nature and the sadness of the downfall of our beautifull planet, that's why my work sometimes looks a little melancholic.
I am a member of 2 small art associations in Belgium: Kunstkring Argus from Herselt and Locomotief from Begijnendijk and I often participate in local art events. Since 2022 I am a member of IWS Belgium (International Watercolor Society) where in 2023 I was selected for the exhibition in Bruges.
