About me

Wildlife, the Sea and the Natural Environment have inspired me to draw and paint for as long as I can remember. Basically self taught I did receive formal training for five years at Synge Street Secondary Scool, Dublin. Knowing that Art would not provide a living I took a four year professional course in Land Surveying at The Dublin Institute of Technology where I received tuition in mapping draughtmanship and colour printing technolog.

On graduating I spent the next ten years surveying and drawing maps in remote regions of Ethiopia, Libya, Mali, Zambia ans Saudi Arabia. On returning home I was able to pursue courses in Life Drawing and Watercolouring at The National College of Art and Design in Dublin. My own talent I beleive was achieved through dedication, hard work and studying the techniques of my favourite Artists.

I am now in the fortunate position to be able to paint and exhibit fulltime with my paintings in private collections in London, Paris, Melbourne, Perth, New York, Lisbon, Cairo and Houston as well as private and corporate collections in Ireland, North and South.

My Paintings are on view every Sunday on Pitch 116 and 117 on the North side of Merrion Square, Dublin directly opposite The Red Cross Headquarters and private viewing welcome at my studio in Kilcock.
