My name is Xeniya Villeggiante.
I am an interior designer, but drawing has been part of my life since childhood, with some pauses along the way. I discovered watercolor when I attended art school as a child, even though it never came easily to me back then.
During the pandemic, I returned to watercolor and truly embraced it. I love this medium for its unpredictability and for the way it flows. Watercolor cannot be fully controlled, and that freedom allows me to express myself in a natural, fluid way.
I enjoy creating abstract works, as well as paintings that reflect objects, moments from life, and animals. I love to work on big sizes and in the tecnic alla Prima.
For me, watercolor is a space of movement, intuition, and quiet emotion.
