About me
My name is Aitor Castañeda, although my artistic name is Rotia. I am a self-taught painter based on the magical island of Menorca (Balearic Islands, Spain).
With a short journey in this world, specifically in watercolor, I found in this technique a space to explore the magic that arises between water and color, allowing me to express myself, inspired by the wonderful surroundings where I live.
Without formal academic training in art, I have learned through experimentation. My creative process is based on trying, discovering, and often letting myself be carried away by mistakes that ultimately become part of the final result. Although my journey is short, each piece represents one more step in this personal voyage that I hope to continue for a long time.
For me, watercolor is more than just a technique; it is a space to connect with myself and others, accompanied by the unpredictability and spontaneity that define it.
