I am Maryna Futymska, a watercolor artist and architect from Ukraine. I hold two professional degrees in fine arts and architecture from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv. My primary medium is watercolor, which allows me to convey emotions, explore culture, and capture the beauty of nature.
In my practice, I combine traditional techniques with contemporary themes, creating works that are not only visually appealing but also carry deep meaning. For over a decade in the UAE, I have been teaching academic drawing and painting to students of various ages and nationalities. My art has been featured in international exhibitions and festivals across Europe, the Middle East, Canada, the United States, New Zealand, and Australia.
Additionally, I work with children with special needs, helping them adapt to society and express themselves through art. This aspect of my work is important to me, as I believe in the power of art to break down barriers and unlock the inner potential of every individual.
I am a holder of the UAE's golden cultural visa and actively participate in cultural initiatives on a global scale. My approach to teaching is personalized, deep, and professional, helping to unlock the potential of each student, regardless of their level of experience.
