About me
Margherita Caccetta was born in Rome into a family that appreciated art and beauty, giving her the opportunity as a child to visit art exhibitions and mix with artists.
She studied communication and graphic design and has worked for advertising agencies besides setting up her own graphic design business.
Margherita spent three years training as a photographer (b&w analogue) and has also worked in digital art and photography.
Since rediscovering watercolours (which she studied as a child through the Steiner teaching method) Margherita has continued to research new forms of expression. For the past three years she has run painting classes for children and watercolour workshops for adults.
Margherita also holds a diploma in counselling (specialising in changes and transitions) and believes that the artistic path can lead to self-improvement and healing. She uses some of her counselling techniques both to facilitate her students' learning process and to break out of her own comfort zone ... to be a braver artist every day!
Margherita is a member of AIA, the Italian association of watercolour artists.
