About me
Sevgi Ilker was born in Ankara in 1964. Her love for drawing and painting started at a very young age. While she was still in middle school, she won awards in various national art competitions, and her first paintings were exhibited when she was 13.
She studied English Language and Literature at Istanbul University. After graduating, she started teaching English, but her passion for art always remained. Thus, she has focused on drawing and painting in the last 15 years.
After receiving 4 years of basic art courses at a public education center, she attended Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ozlem Uner's charcoal drawing workshop at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University for a year and received a certificate. She has worked in oil painting, soft pastel and watercolor techniques in various workshops and displayed her works in many exhibitions. In the last 5 years, she has focused on working only in watercolor technique and has produced her works in this field.
She is married and has 2 sons.
