Rosane Pertile Schreiner (1961) is from Victor Graeff/RS, currently living in Joinville/SC/Brazil. She is an art teacher and watercolorist. Art has always been a way for the artist to connect with her restless essence and the need to be in touch with nature, and these characteristics also reflect in her poetics and painting.
Her academic background includes a Bachelor's and a Full Teaching Degree in Drawing and Plastic Arts at UPF/RS between 1980-84, followed by a postgraduate degree in Brazilian Art History at FAP/PR-CONCED in 2008-09. She continued her studies and honed her skills through various courses, including Art History I, II, and III, expressionist painting in acrylic, and expressive materials from 2009-2014 at Casa de Cultura Fausto Rocha.
In 2022, having taken a break from professional activities due to health issues post-pandemic, watercolor entered her life during a live session with watercolorist Patrícia Vargas, captivating her with her 'alla prima' watercolor technique. This enchantment with watercolor led to new research and studies in the pursuit of transparency, lightness, and fluidity, all pursued with immense pleasure. She is ready for her original productions, continually professionalizing herself in her poetics.
"Watercolor transforms us, heals us from the ills of fast-paced times with constant information. It reconnects us with nature, allowing us to take a breath, flow, and achieve the lightness and balance we so ardently seek."
Currently (2023), the artist is a member of AAPLAJ (Association of Plastic Artists of Joinville), where she has already participated in three group exhibitions with watercolors and new projects. She is also part of a Collective Exhibition in Northeast Brazil for 2023-24, the National Watercolor Exhibition: Translating Dreams, and is a member of the Urban Sketches Joinville-Brazil group.
