Islam Al-lboun was born in 1989 in Irbid, Jordan. She is a resident in Istanbul, Turkey, and is currently studying for a PhD in Art at the University of Istanbul. She holds a BA in Design and a Master's Degree in Fine Arts. She speaks three languages, Arabic, English, and Turkish. She has participated in a number of international conferences and exhibitions in watercolors, she was even the first Jordanian to participate in these events. In 2014, she was appointed as the official representative of the International Watercolor Society of the Jordan branch. 2018 She is also the head of the Jordan Group for Fabriano in Aquarelle, Italy. In 2017, she organized and chaired the first Jordan International Watercolor Forum in cooperation with The Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts. She currently works as a freelance graphic designer and design trainer. Islam's artwork can be described as a multimedia medium of concepts, ideas, and feelings. It also involves combining watercolors, acrylics, and collages. Islam's focus as of now is on “The Artist's Book” because she sees the language as something that comes from abroad. Although she can do everything by using this language, she does not trust it.
