About me
I am an artist living in beautiful Central Portugal, where I have been living permanently for more than ten years, although I originate from the UK.
I am a self-taught artist and the medium that makes my heart sing the most is watercolour.
I have been painting and making art all my life and had expected to go to art school when I left mainstream education. Sadly, circumstances meant that this did not happen, but I continued to paint, draw and be creative at every opportunity.
Moving to Portugal gave me the opportunity to have more time to express myself more freely with my watercolours and art.
I like to paint nature, flowers, animals, anything really, that appeals to me.
My husband and fellow artist and I have run workshops from our home in Portugal in the past and continue to be fully supportive of others in their own creative and artistic journeys. I run monthly art challenges through a Facebook group and have a seperate facebook group for my own personal art work.
Watercolour as a medium allows me to be expressive and free. I love the ability it allows to be experimental, expressive and at times temperamental in its execution as a medium. IT is in Charge!
