About me
Hello, I am Maria from Slovakia where I live in the capital Bratislava.
My passion „ethnography“ provides me with a unique perspective at the world and things around me, in Slovakia and in other countries because I love to travel. Folk art, embroidery, lace, nature, history and architecture are the key sources of inspiration for my art work, which has shaped predominantly into small-format author's illustrations.
I’ve fallen in love with watercolor due to its possibility of color combinations, experimentation with various techniques and structures as well as easiness of working with them anywhere. Their lively colors bring joy into my life.
Apart from watercolor, I have also been experimenting with various other art types – acrylic paint and combination techniques, monotyping, photography, artprotis, jewelry making and others.
During the last few years, I have participated in several local exhibitions of paint art and photography.
