About me

After completing my studies in the humanities, I graduated in Architecture and subsequently pursued a career as an architect and designer. In recent years, I have taught artistic disciplines in public schools.

Deeply interested in environmental and cultural heritage, I serve as the director of the Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art of Sermoneta (LT), where I curate and organize painting and sculpture exhibitions, including works by modern and contemporary artists. I also write publications on the art of the Pontine and Lepine regions.

I have always cultivated drawing, comics, graphic design, and painting as a self-taught artist. In 2005, I attended lessons taught by the watercolorist Valerio Libralato. In 2014, I participated in a photography and painting competition regarding the relationship between art, the environment, and the territory—organized by "La Rana Rossa Gallery" in Latina—winning second prize with the watercolor Genius loci. In 2015, at the same art gallery, I held my solo exhibition titled Visioni & Riflessi (Visions & Reflections).

My artistic path pursues the depiction of the most representative elements of the Pontine territory (Mount Circeo, coastal towers, the sea, buildings, lakes, canals, rivers) and the Lepine territory (mountains, historic hilltop villages, walls, and building materials such as stone, wood, and clay). I seek to capture the soul of these splendid scenarios through the lens of my camera, highlighting their details after a careful search for the perfect composition. The photographic shots are then followed by pictorial representation.

I am particularly interested in the deep and intimate representation of water in its numerous symbolic, vital, and finally, material and visual (and perhaps sonic) aspects: shapes, surfaces, movements, colors and nuances, transparencies, reflections, lights, shadows, sounds, and silences. I constantly and continuously practice the watercolor technique; a pictorial medium permeated—even in its name—by the preferred subject of my research.

My painting Il silenzio dell'acqua (The Silence of Water)—a detail of Lake Fogliano—included in the FabrianoinAcquarello 2024 online platform, was selected and exhibited in Fabriano and subsequently in Fort Worth, Texas. In 2025, Il suono dell'acqua (The Sound of Water)—a whirlpool in the Aniene river near Subiaco—was similarly presented in Fabriano at the exhibition organized as part of the "Festando La Carta 2025" Festival. For the 2026 edition, with Le forme dell'acqua (The Shapes of Water)—depicting eroded boulders in a narrow gorge along the Lacerno stream—I conclude the trilogy dedicated to it, although my research on the representation of this fascinating and vital natural element continues.
