About me

Gabriela Britzmann studied Architecture in the Universidad de Chile and got her diploma in the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 1972. Taught Drawing, Perspective and Watercolor in the Schools of Architecture in the Mayor, Del Desarrollo and Central Universities frm 2004 to 2010. Teacher as painting therapy fin the Carmel Senior Residence, 2007 to 2011. 

Started painting as a child with her father Heinz Britzmann. Studied drawing, and painting with Eugenio Dittborn ( National Chilean Art Award 2005). Took several years of Watercolor with artists Hardy Wistuba and Isabel Weissner. 

Individual watercolor shows in Santiago (2002, 2004), Sedona , Arizona (2005) and Universidad Autónona de Temuco, Chile  (2022)

Since 2006 is member of the Taller Lea Kleiner and took part of its "Collective Exhibit in Santiago" (2007) and  the collective exhibits in dozens of chilean cities:  "Valparaíso, nuestra mirada" (2013), "Pampa Salitrera, niuestra mirada" (2017), "Iglesias Chilotas, nuesttra mirada" (2020-2021). The subject othe three last exhibits is about UNESCO's World Heritage. Gabriela participated in the "Arte y Espacio, arquitectos acuarelistas", Buin, Chile (2018) and in the "France- Chili Acquarelle" exhibit (2020) in Avignon and Paris, France. She showed her watercolor at the Fabriano 2024 Festival and attended several workshops there.
