About me
I'm Olivia Checiu, a self-taught watercolorist from Romania. I was born in 1981 and I grew up in Pitesti, where I attended the "Dinu Lipatti" arts high-school from 1995 to 1999. Then I moved to Bucharest to study architecture at the "Ion Mincu" University and I lived in Romania's capital city for almost 20 years, until 2018, when me and my family moved to Timisoara, in the western part of Romania. There I discovered watercolors-I say discovered because in all my studying years, I've never studied watercolors- and I've been painting since the end of 2018.
