Linda Guðlaugsdóttir

Is'nt watercolor similar to the blood in my wain? Linda Guðlaugsdóttir is born in Iceland 1964. She graduated with a degree in graphic design from the Icelandic Acadamy of the Arts in 1990. She has worked for twenty years in graphic design of periodicals.

Her interest in fine art started early and in high school Linda chose watercolour as a extra curriculum subject which then became one of her favourite subjects. Later she took adult courses in watercolour.

More recently she found time to go out and sketch en plein air. Linda found that she needed to combine her interest for hiking with that of watercolour sketching. This means she has had to find a balance between the weight of the watercolour equipment and the length of the hike.
