I was born in 1966 in Athens, Greece, and have been passionate about painting since my teenage years. I’ve always dreamed of fully dedicating myself to art, and the pandemic gave me the opportunity to do just that. Over the years, I’ve attended seminars and art classes both in Greece and abroad, studying with renowned artists who have guided me in refining my technique and fostering my artistic development.
My work is characterized by a narrative style, blending rich details and colors to create atmospheres that evoke fairy tales or memories. Behind every landscape, person, and event, I see a hidden story—one or more interpretations. As I paint, I allow my inner voice to freely express these stories, along with my personal commentary, which I weave into the artwork through details that are sometimes more, sometimes less hidden.
Watercolor is my favorite medium, as its transparency and fluid texture create an ethereal lightness—a suspension between reality and fantasy, between the visible and the invisible. This allows me to invite the viewer to immerse themselves in the narrative of each story.
For the past seven years, I’ve split my time between Athens and Gothenburg, where I live with my Swedish husband, Erland Hilden, a musician. During this time, my artistic activity has included two solo exhibitions and five group exhibitions in Sweden (in Gothenburg, Torsby, Lisvik, and Sunne), as well as one exhibition in Athens.
