About me

Born in Toluca, Mexico. Since her youth, Martha studied in the first Fine Arts School of her home city, in the painting workshop, lead by Orlando Silva, the school founder. Besides watercolor, she has also worked with other techniques and, for a long time, she has participated in trainings with Ignacio Barrios, Javier Gómez Soto, Mauricio Turu, Hugo Hernández, and Sonia Cortés, among others.

She has been part of collective exhibits in the local Deputy Chamber, as well as in the Language and Engineering faculties of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico, the Alliance Française and the State of Mexico Watercolor Museum, including the University "Siglo XXI".

As an individual artist, she as presented her work at the Alliance Française, both in Toluca and Metepec campuses, in the Cultural Regional Center of Ocoyoacac and Atizapán de Zaragoza, in the State of Mexico, as well as in the legislative building of the State of Mexico.

Nowadays she focuses on rural scenery and landscape. Through her work, she aims to reflect the typical and picturesque of the towns in Mexico –as well as abroad– as a way to contribute to the pictorial memory of our society.
