Growing up in incredibly remote regions of Australia, several days drive away from her nearest neighbour; Melanie first began to make sense of her unique world through art.

Capturing the extremes of the bush environment and as well as the intense feelings the land gave her is something that persists in her work to this day.

Melanie does not try to re-create a photograph, but prefers to have her viewers open their eyes and see their world a little differently.

She seeks to capture the emotional content of the world we live in. Melanie's art transforms landscapes and experiences into abstract mosaics of color and movement.
