I was born and raised in San Bernardo. Throughout my childhood I explored various forms of artistic expression: charcoal, acrylic, oil and various crafts.
With the passage of time and the beginning of the search for my own identity, I studied Art History for a year at Universidad de Chile, and then I decided to study Social Work career, from which I graduated in 2021, the year in which I decided to dedicate myself fully to art through watercolor.
In late 2021, I discovered the interrelation between my career and art: The portrait and the transmission of emotions:
I focus on the ability to interpret the expression on the face, and then allow the water to freely express the emotion, trying to interfere as little as possible with what this element dictates.
The purpose of my artistic interpretation is to create a connection with people, along with the various realities and invisible social problems, in order to bring them to the foreground, leaving aside the established canons of beauty and concentrating primarily on the beauty of the soul.
In the search for plastic representation, the artistic execution is based on short and long drains in conjunction with controlled reservoirs of water and pigment, emulating the technique of watercolor sculptures, emphasizing the control of shape, as well as tonal and chromatic composition.
Otherwise, all my paintings are alla prima paintings, with no previous drawing, and in the last months i have been transitioning to alla prima wet and wet technique.
