About me
Geraldine Estrella Lopez, Denise for short. A writer by heart and a watercolorist by accident.
After spending more than two decades in the IT industry, Denise discovered watercolor to be a good de-stresser and a source of relaxation. Armed with some coloring books and a beginner's set of pigments, she found a way to rechannel negative energy from a long day at work and create colorful art pieces.
She first started watching You Tube videos to learn basic skills and techniques until she gathered her courage and attended her very first masterclasses with Eudes Correia, followed with masters Jayson Yeoh and Dino Dante Kangleon Pajao. Those classes opened Denise's world of possibilities in watercolor.
That was three years ago. Since then, she has participated in both local and regional exhibits namely, Philippine Guild of Watercolorists 4th National Convention "Hues of Hope" (2021), The Philippine Fauna Society's "Haring Aguila" (2021), an online exhibition, and the "Fall 2021" Vietnam International Invitational Watercolor Exhibition. Her favorite subjects are children portraiture and still life.
Aside from watercolor, Denise enjoys travelling and photography. She is a single mom with two young adult sons.
