MOUSUMI DATTA

Hi...
This is Mousumi Datta. I am from Coochbehar in West Bengal. I am an Indian and belong from a Hindu family. I like to paint from my childhood. It's my hobby firstly but now it's becoming a bit more for me, like my painting is my responsibility.
I like to paint in different ways and techniques because I like versatility in my works. It is like exploring myself and my capabilities by myself. And you all know that who does not like to explore himself or herself in this world.
It has been 25/26 years I am in this field, Painting. So it has been holding my hands since my childhood and now has become a true friend of mine. Whenever I feel happy or sad or something like anything, my painting is the only way through which I can convey my thoughts and feelings on the canvas and I feel fresh and free immediately.
Mostly I like to do Realistic Paintings but it also feels nice to paint in Abstract style. I paint in Watercolour and Acrylic mostly but except those I have interest in some other mediums like pencil, pen, Charcoal, oil etc. I like to work in detail no matter how much time it takes. I just love to paint.
I have completed the Master Degree in Fine Arts. Then I have participated in many different kinds of competitions, workshops and also have taken part in some exhibitions too in West Bengal. And for this, I feel so lucky to get the opportunity to work with so many honourable artists from West Bengal. I have learnt a lot about the thought process, ideas, techniques and so much more from them. It's like exploring the Mystery of Art. I respect them from the core of my heart.
The learning process itself is such a great opportunity to gather knowledge and experience. So I never consider my learning process as a struggle. And if I want to express my feelings about painting in one line, it would be, "I have miles to go before I sleep."
Thank you.
