Kalpana Deshpande

I am Dr Kalpana Deshpande, PHD in organic chemistry, had a manufacturing unit. I have been into watercolor painting for the last 10 years. I love watercolors because of their transparency. 

I have attended workshops conducted by Alvaro Castagnet, Keiko Tanabe in USA and Italy. Also in India, by Milind Mulik, Praful Sawant, Ramesh Jhawar, Bijay Biswal, Vijay Achrekar, Aditya Shirke, etc.

I have participated in many group shows. In some of them, I have even won awards, including the award in state level exhibition. While i was in USA, I have been a member of San Diego Watercolor Society where I interacted with many artists like Linda Doll, Kate Fritzgerald, MinnieValero etc and attended many of their monthly exhibitions and pleinair demos.
