Hi I am Mitchell Singh and am a resident of Gurgaon, India. I have been painting since childhood and made it my profession now and I am working as an arts teacher in a school. I also do freelancing and keep on participating in various art events.

I do a lot of water color work along with acrylic, oil, charcoal etc. In crafts I work with clay and other materials like marble powder, wall putty clay and try to recycle the waste materials like plastic and paper. Relief art and lippan kaam are also one of my specialities. I keep on participating in various art events and workshops , I also like doing performing arts and this way I enjoy my passion a lot. I aim to become an international artist and earn name and fame for my country and myself.

My artwork for this confrence depicts a village woman who is preparing food and serving it to her family member.she is so happy and engrossed in her work and thus the name " The NURTURER" has been chosen for her. She is the goddess of her kitchen. It has been rightly observed throughout the world that food is the only fuel which keeps the living beings alive  and if that food is served with unlimited love and care it adds to the well-being of the entire place. My work tells a number of tales but I chose the one which shows the determination of the mother in her simple chore from her daily life ,although the picture is from a village in India where the lady is cooking on an outdoor stove which is no longer a practice  here, thus adding a charm to my work.The work is done on a 420 gsm with watercolour  on 56*38 cm size of sheet.
