I'm a professional Ph.D. Art Conservator with main focus on the conservation-restoration of easel and mural painting. The main part of my life I devoted to research and documentation of medieval and renaissance painting techniques. The knowledge I gained helped me a lot to develop as a professional artist and teacher of Renaissance classical painting and Orthodox Iconography. I have been studying and experimenting with various painting techniques for twenty years, and I believe that the intensive work and practice lead to the development of art. This constant curiosity and creative approach gave me the ability to recreate my inner world and my creative ideas, and turn them into works of art. The watercolor is the only technique I have never tried in my life, and from here the adventure began when 2018 I bought my first watercolors and paper. Despite the extreme difficulties at the beginning of my work, I rediscovered the lightness and freedom of this amazing technique. The movement between the light and water on the white paper, which creates an atmosphere of calm and balance in the artist, and the colors that help you shape the idea that already exists and is simply not visible on the white paper.
