My name is Celinda Stevens and I have lived in beautiful British Columbia CANADA for over fifty years. My Art journey began in my native Mexico where I grew up into a family that supported and encouraged art from the early years.
Even though I was formally trained in Oils, my practice has been focussed in watercolour for many years discovering the beauty and challenges of this beautiful medium that I humbly display in my artwork.
I am mainly inspired by nature, and I hope my paintings also raise a voice for the beautiful Wildlife in the world many of them on the verge of extinction.
I am an active participant in several watercolour groups and I have participated in many solo and group exhibitions throughout North America and Europe.
My affiliations include IWS of Canada, Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour (CSPWS), North Shore Artists Guild (NASG) and North Vancouver Arts Council, participating in the Board of Directors and other Head of Committees positions for several of these groups.
