I, Murukanandam Vaduganathan (a.k.a. Murugu), was born in a small village called Thirukkannamangai in Thiruvarur district in the heart of southern India, which for centuries been known to be a cradle of civilization and culture. I grew up in a vicinity surrounded by the age-old relics left by the ancient Chola kings depicting their association for carvings, arts, and dance. All this had an impact on me. I soon developed an irreversible affinity towards the arts. My parents decided to let me follow my dream. I have done my bachelor's of Fine Arts in Govt College Of Fine Arts Kumbakonam 2000 - 2005. Deeply intrigued by the Islamic and Arabian culture, I decided to make the leap and move to the United Arab Emirates in 2005. Since then, I have evolved into the artist I am today.
