Hello, I am Tania Bari Kanta and am a freelance Artist from Bangladesh.
I've always had an interest in painting and fortunately had a good eye for it as well. My interest in this field grew more with time. However, even though I completed my Bachelors and Masters in Fine Arts, I never really had the plan to pursue this initially. It was soon after I started my classes in the Fine Arts that I completely fell in love with the subject and realized that there was nothing else well suited for me.
As for my education, I graduated from ViqarunNisa Noon College in 1991 with 2nd Division in S.S.C. and 1st Division in H.S.C. I later got enrolled in Chittagong University, where my journey in Fine Arts began. Completed my B.F.A. in 1994 with 2nd Class Results and positioned 4th in the Merit List. Achieved 2nd Position in the Merit List on M.F.A. in 1995. I threw my first Solo Exhibition: Dreamy Touch in 1998 in Gaganendra Pradarshan at Nandan, Kolkata, India.
My Paintings have been showcased in Seagull Hotel, Cox’s Bazar; Nari Nirjaton Kendro in Kolkata, India and also in the Bangladesh Embassy, Kolkata, India. Among the numerous Group Exhibitions I have participated in some include:
• Departmental Annual Art Exhibition in 1995, 1996 & 1997
• Shomokalin Barshik Charukola Prodorshoni in 1995 & 1996
