In 1975 graduated from Almaty Art College of N. Gogol (AKDPI)
In 1981 graduated from I.E. Repin St. Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (Repin Institute of Arts), supervised by Prof. G.D. Epifanov.
Member of the Union of Artists of Russia.
Member of Saint Petersburg Academy of Contemporary Art of Immortals.
Active member of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
Hosted and curated 30 personal exhibitions and more than 400 collective exhibitions in Russia and abroad: in the USA, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Japan, Finland, Italy, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Cuba, Mexico, Canada, Czech Republic, South Korea, China, Greece, Switzerland, the Baltic states and the CIS. Mr. Kazbekov illustrated more than 70 books.
A laureate of many competitions in visual arts and book arts.
Associate Professor of Saint Petersburg State University, Department of Film and Television Production Design.
